Changing lives one lift at a time.
Common questions.
"Is this like a regular gym?"
Our gym is not like most traditional large membership gyms. Our gym is small, private and is all coaching-based, meaning that everyone here is working with a personal trainer/coach in some capacity.
"I'm afraid this might be
too hard for me."
This is an understandable concern. Our primary job as coaches is to design and exercise program that is appropriate to your level and your wishes. If you are just starting out or even if you are someone who simply wants to ease into things, that's what we do. We will adjust the intensity/difficulty level of everything so that it is always something that you are comfortable with, no matter what experience level you are.
"What type of training do you guys do?"
A great question. There isn't a simple answer for this question as it varies. The specific type of training we do will depend on the individual client and their specific goals, abilities and challenges. Overall though, our goal for everyone is to help them to increase their overall strength, add muscle and improve their health and quality of life.
"I'm a total beginner and I'm very intimidated."
Completely understandable and something we are more than familiar with. Working with beginners is our specialty and we are super aware of how intimidating and nervewracking coming to a gym can be and we will go out of our way to make sure that you feel comfortable and safe here.
"How much does it cost and how does it work?"
Pricing is very simple. We don't have any membership fees, contracts or hidden fees. It is simply pay as you go for personal training, and our most popular option is semi-private personal training and those sessions are $40/hour and we also offer one-on-one training and those sessions are $75/hour.
"I'm interested in learning more. How do I get started?"
It's very easy to see if we are a good fit for you. First thing we'll do is set up a no-pressure, free consultation and trail session. This is simply an opportunity to come in, meet with one of our coaches and get a feel for us and how we do things. It will also give your coach the chance to learn more about you and your specific goals and challenges, and be able to better understand what type of program/training will be best for you. If ti's a good fit, we will look at next steps. If not, no problem!

"As a plus sized female who knows nothing about lifting let alone what to do in a gym, I have never been in a more encouraging, body positive, welcoming and motivating place. Everyone you come across greets you with a smile, I always feel not only welcomed but wanted there. My trainer Trevor is awesome, he seems to know what I’m capable of before I even consider it. I feel supported and understood. This is a one in a million place and I’m grateful I found it."

"Working out at Iron Legion isn’t anything remotely close to the stereotypical gym experience one might expect. Let’s face it, it can be really nerve wracking to think about working out when it's not your thing and especially at a public gym! That's what I love about the Legion. It's small and private and I see people from all walks of life who are in there each and every day. As someone who struggles with depression at times, having a coach who understands me and can support me through those days is everything."
